Mighty tower


The Google office in Tokyo is situated in the Cerulean Tower, a landmark of the Shibuya district. The building also houses a hotel (where we stayed for the first night). Next month Google will be moving to the even fancier Roppongi Hills neighborhood.

Compared to other mega cities, Tokyo has fewer large skyscrapers. The main reason for are the frequent earth quakes that keep rattling the city. Statistically, a big one is supposed to hit about every 60 years. It's been 70 since the last one....
